Debi had her first Mother’s Day. She got manicure, pedicure, and an hour massage. It must have been good because she wants another one.
The Williamson's
As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country ~ Proverbs 25:25
Nick 6 months old
Nick is now 6 months old. He weighs 15lbs 4 oz, 25 3/4 inches long, head circumference is 17.05 inches. He is in 15% in weight, 25% in lenght, and 30% in head. Basically, he needs to grow into his head. He has learned to roll over both ways: front to back and back to front. He now enjoys tummy time and sleeps on his tummy most of the time.
Ear Infection
Nick was sent home on Wednesday with a high fever. On thursday, we took him to the doctor and he has his first ear infection. He is on antibiotics and is doing better. He weighs 15 lbs 4 oz. He is growing and growing.
Nick learn new things
Nick has learned he has a voice and to SPIT! Yes, spit! The doctor calls it rasberries but we call it spitting. Chuck and Nick are both sick. Nick got sent home Wednesday with vomiting and diarrhea. Chuck stayed home with him on Thursday and he was fine. So today he went to daycare for 4 hours, because they called and said his diarrhea was back. Chuck woke up not feeling well. He went into work and then came home vomiting. Guess he got whatever Nick has. The whole daycare was coming down with this stomache virus. Nick’s teacher and 5 other kids in his class alone were sent home in the last 3 days. Today, they told me almost half the daycare kids are out cause of this, so I took him to the doctor. He has a stomache virus and weighs 15 lbs.
First good bike ride
Yesterday, Chuck got a chance to go on his first “real” bike ride. He had been on a couple of short jaunts around the neighboorhood, but nothing of any significance. He went with the usual suspects, Michael and Dan, to White Rock Lake. In all, they did 24 miles. Not bad for having been off the saddle for about a month. It has just been way too cold and windy to do any riding. He guesses that’s what he get for being born in the winter. Anyway, this bike is sweet. It was just more efficient than his mountain bike. Chuck was able to maintain a faster pace with less effort than before. Of course it doesn’t hurt that the new bike is about 1/2 the weight. Weather permitting, they are going to do it again this weekend, maybe even go another 10 miles if they feel good enough.
Nick ROLLED OVER
Nick is starting to roll over. Daycare says he has been since Tuesday. We put some new pictures out in our photo gallery of Nick for all to see. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did taking them.
Nick’s first Easter
We went to Houston for Easter, and Nick had a blast at his first Easter party. He loved his baseball easter basket. He wanted to put it in his mouth instead of holding it. He had fun taking turns holding his cousin’s hands. They (Samantha, Tori, Jacob, and Spencer) all took turns kissing his forehead. He got a lot of love from his cousin over Easter. It was cold and windy so he didn’t get to wear his Easter outfit. He did get to wear his Easter outfit from his cousins in California. Thanks Juanna, Kelly, and Christopher for the outfit. He loved the hood on the jacket.
Nick’s first vacation
We took Nick to San Antonio for his first vacation. He did really well and loved to be in his baby carrier. He wanted to see everything for himself. We went up into the tower that overlooks San Antonio. He was awake for the elevator ride up, but by the time we got to the top he fell asleep. He received an early start on Texas History going through the Alamo.
