Today is Debi’s birthday. She is 33 years young. For her birthday she got all the Harry Potter books. She has decided to start reading more. Now that leaves me no excuses for not reading much in the last year. I still have some books that I haven’t read yet. Today is also our 7th year wedding anniversary. 7 years ago we were married in Houston. It seems like it was only yesterday. For our anniversary she got a notebook computer. It’s not here yet, but hopefully it will be soon. She got me the first 3 seasons of The Dukes of Hazzard DVDs. I already watched the first episode. We went out to dinner last night at Carrabba’s to celebrate. My steak was not cooked right so we got a free desert out of it. We made that into Debi’s birthday cake. Nick helped her blow out the candle (just 1).
The Williamson's
As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country ~ Proverbs 25:25
Nick walking the furniture
Nick has started to walk the furniture and loves to be walked around the house. It won’t be long before he will be walking on his own. He hasn’t had a bottle in almost 3 weeks. He babbles all the time but nothing you can make out. He loved the firework show on the 4th of July even though he fell asleep before it was over. He also had his first taste of ice cream and mashed potatoes. He loved them both. He has learned to wave and clap. He waves to everyone coming and going. He is the talk of his daycare class. More pictures have been posted in the photo gallery.
Nick pulling up and sippy
Nick has started pulling up for several days now. He has also started taking a sippy cup instead of his bottle. We had to lower his mattress down to the lowest level because he would pull up and try to get his head over the railing. He sleeps with his legs and arms hanging out of the crib. He started to clap at himself on Thursday. He also cracks himself up. We posted new pictures of him. He has ventured into the kitchen and got his first war wound.
Giant Catfish
Nearly nine feet long (2.7 meters) and as big as a grizzly bear, a huge catfish caught in northern Thailand may be the largest freshwater fish ever recorded.
Caught last month (May 1) in the Mekong River, a team of fishermen struggled for more than an hour to haul the creature in. It tipped the scales at 646 pounds (293 kilograms).

Nick sick again
Nick was sent home on Monday, because daycare thought he had pink eye. Debi took him to the pediatrician yesterday. Nick weighs 16lbs 11 oz still after 3 weeks. He has pink eye, fluid on his ears still (has another follow up in 30 days which is his 9 month well checkup), and bronchitis. The pediatrician heard some wheezing in his breathing so he is also on breathing treatments. They seem to be helping him and he seems to be okay with sitting there doing them. He likes the tubing the most. He wants to chew on it or use his toes to pull it away from his mouth. Hopefully, more updated pictures will be available soon. He is doing much better this morning, but he is still wheezing.
Nick crawled!
Nick is 7 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day old and he crawled for the first time today! Look out here he comes. We also added more pictures. Click here for new pictures.
Collin Classic Ride
Today, I rode in the 14th annual Collin Classic bike ride. I did the 40-mile route with my friends Michael, Dan, and Matt. Overall, we had a really good ride. We kept a very nice pace and completed the ride quicker than we had previously ridden it. You can see a map of the route here. It was a fun and enjoyable ride with lots of rolling hills and one big hill at the end. I will be doing at least 1 more ride this year before the MS150. We are once again doing the Tour de Pants out at Possum Kingdom lake. This is the same one I did last year that has all the big hills. Maybe with my new bike they will be a piece of cake.
Another ear infection
Nick has yet another ear infection. He is on a different antibiotic this time. The doctor will check him again in 30 days unless he gets another one before the check up. He weighs 16 lbs and 11 oz. He is sleeping alot and eating a little.
New tricks
Nick has learned to sit up unsupported and has started pulling up. He started pulling up on his crib a few weeks ago when he was home with an ear infection. We have posted more pictures from the last few weeks.
Another ear infection
Nick has another ear infection and upper respiratory infection. He starts antibiotics today. He weighs 16lbs 2 oz. He is growing like a weed. He has learned to laugh when tickled and loves to smile at everyone. Ms Sherry (morning daycare teacher) says he is full of smiles. Ms Raleigh and Ms Megan (afternoon daycare teachers) says everyone who comes in is drawn to him cause he is always smiling.
