Since Nick has been looking a lot like Shaggy for a while now, we finally made the trek to get his first hair cut. There is a pretty cool place in Mesquite that specializes in kids haircuts. They have TVs and video games for them to play with. For the little ones, they have neat little chairs. Nick got to sit in the taxi cab chair. It had a steering wheel so he could pretend like he was driving. He did really well and had fun with the chair.

Holidays have come and gone
It has been a really long time since we have updated the web page. It has been real busy around here lately. We have a ton of Christmas pictures that we need to post. Maybe we will get around to it eventually. In the mean time, here is one that I like. It is Nick playing with his new toy that Santa got him.
We had a real good holiday. Nick really enjoyed tearing the wrapping paper off all of his presents. We saw all the family and of course, ate lots of food. Nick got lots of cool new toys and has played with just about all of them. For a while, our entire living room floor was covered with his toys. We finally cleared some of them out of the way so we could at least walk around a bit.
Paperchasing has started
Today, we started paperchasing. Basically this is chasing down all the documents required to submit our dossier to China. All the paperwork has to be certified and authenticated then translated.
Application Approved
Our application with the adoption agency has been approved. We were assigned a social worker, Beverley Lewin. She should be contacting us soon to start the home study process.
Application to Adopt
We made the decision to expand our family through the miracle of adoption. Today, we submitted our application with an adoption agency.
Nick back on formula
Nick has had diarrhea for several weeks now that he is on whole milk. We decided to move him back to whole milk to see if that would help since soy milk made it worse. He is doing MUCH better now that his is back on formula. His doctor wants us to wait until January 2006 to try whole milk again. She thinks he has some food allergies or his tummy wasn’t ready for whole milk yet. He is on the NextStep/Stage 2 formula that is good from 9 – 24 month olds. We will try again in January but we aren’t rushing it since his poor little bottom can’t take that much poo.
Cut down our Christmas tree
We took Nick on our annual Friday after Thanksgiving trip to cut down our Christmas tree at the tree farm. Nick got to help us pick out a tree and even tried to help cut it down. He went on his first hay ride too at the tree farm. We put the little train around the tree, and he really likes that. He wants to turn it on and watch it go around and around.
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Enjoy the good food, the time with family and friends, and let’s not forget the football. Go Cowboys! Ok so, the game didn’t really turn out so good for Dallas.
New Look … Again
I just can’t keep a website format for very long. I guess I see it for so long and get tired of looking at it. So I am trying a new format again. This is actually the same one that a couple of my friends use. I have downloaded the newest version of WordPress and it has this new feature where you can easily change between different themes. Until I can figure out how to incorporate the new theme into the Photo Gallery, I will leave it as is. We will see how this one works out. I may change it again.
Nick’s an offically walker/Chuck shot a deer
Nick is offically walking. He is EVERYWHERE in a matter of seconds. He is fast too. He still crawls some but very little. He can stand up on his own without holding onto anything.
This past weekend was opening deer season. Sunday morning, Chuck shot a deer. It is a 3 1/2 point. hahaha Nick thought it was funny to hold onto the deer horns.
