As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country ~ Proverbs 25:25

HOME

We are now home from a week of Disney with lessons learned. Not to get the Disney meal plan with 3 meals a day. We didn’t use all of our meals or snacks. But we ate enough to pay for the cost. We got back in time for Cooper’s Birthday Party. Dead tired but we went because that was our bargaining tool to keep Nick under control on the airplane ride home. He didn’t want to come home because he was having too much fun there.

Day 6

Our last day at Disney, we spent at Magic Kingdom. We ate at Liberty Lantern and got to see Goofy, Chip, Dale, and Minne. We convinced Nick to tell Goofy “gosh dawg” like Goofy says it on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It was so funny. He had the whole side of the restuarant cracking up laughing when he said it to Goofy.

Day 5

We went to Magic Kingdom. He loved it. Nick got his face painted again. We rode several roller coasters and Nick wanted to ride them again and again. We met up with Debi’s friend, Jamie. Jamie’s daughter, Ella, is the same age as Nick. She also has a little girl, Abby. We ate lunch with them and rode a few rides. Nick and Ella were holding hands in line with Debi and Jamie. Chris, Chuck, and Abby watched because Abby wasn’t tall enough for the ride. AWWW!

We ate in the hotel restuarant. It was kind of loud. If you wanted catchup you had to yell “”We need catchup.”” Then came the funny part. You got every bottle of catchup in the restuarant that wasn’t being used! Seriously! Then when the next table needed it you had to deliver the catchup to them. The table next to us needed it and ended up with 17 bottles. We didn’t need catchup although Nick wanted to yell it.

Day 4

We ate breakfast at Cape May Cafe. He got to see Donald, Minnie, and Goofy. We walked around Downtown Disney and relaxed. Other than eating we really didn’t do much.

We went to Wide World of Sports complex to try to see the Fall Taekwondo tournment. But we couldn’t get down to the floor to see people. Ms Raines (Head instructor) at his Taekwondo school told us to go see her dad while we were there, but we couldn’t get down there to see him. We got a shirt for her and a pin for Ms Mask, so they could see we went.

Day 3

We went to Epcot Center. He thought when we went to China in the park we were getting his baby sister. It was funny! He couldn’t understand why we were going to China without getting his baby sister. We had to explain this was a pretend China and his baby sister was in Real China. We ate another character meal in a rotating restuarant. We had to wait a little for our table. He got to see Chip, Dale, Goofy, and Mickey. This is day 3 of celebrating his birthday. He tells everyone it is his birthday so he got a special cake at every restuarant so far. There is way too much eating on the Disney 3 meals a day plan. We won’t be doing that plan next visit. Nick got his face painted again.

Day 2

We went to Hollywood Studio. We rode a train through the park. Nick wasn’t too crazy about this park. He did like the Character meal we had for lunch. He got a few signatures in his book and got to dance around the cafe with Leo, Goliath, JoJo, and June. We went back to the hotel for a short nap because we had tickets for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom for 7pm to midnight. We went to Magic Kingdom and Nick got to wear his Batman costume. He loved it! He got to go trick-or-treat in the park! He got to ride rides with no wait and got more autographs. They had free face paintings so Nick and Debi got their faces painted. Chuck was too chicken to do it too. Nick got to ride his first roller coaster. He loved it.

Day 1

We got settled into our hotel at about 10:30pm. It is a beautiful hotel, Wilderness Lodge. We are staying on Disney property. Our trip started out leaving from DFW a little late. Nick telling anyone who would listen he was going to see Goofy for his Birthday. When we checked into the hotel, they gave him a birthday button to wear the whole trip. What fun! We got the Disney meal plan, so we didn’t have to worry about paying for our meals.

Today, we went to Animal Kingdom. It was fun. He likes seeing the animals but he liked seeing Goofy most!

Off to Disney

We are off to Disney World for Nick’s Birthday Vacation. We decided to take him to Disney before his birthday as his Birthday Present and to reward him for having good behavior at daycare and for being 100% potty trained for over 4 months with no accidents. He has been potty trained at night as well. He has also been sleeping in his OWN bed for about 2 months the WHOLE night. YAY Nick!

Board Breaking Clinic

Nick attended another board breaking clinic at his Taekwondo place. He loved it. This time they learned how to break boards and how to hold boards for others to break them. He had lots of fun being with the BIG boys.

More Birthday Parties

Nick had more birthday parties this weekend. We started the weekend with Alex’s birthday party. One of the 3 musketeers from his old daycare. He had a blast. It was like they were never apart. Alex the peace maker with Cooper and Nick the rebels. We ended the weekend with Sydney & Collyn’s birthday party. They are the girls of a friend of ours and Chuck car pools with the dad. The mom is one of Nick’s children’s ministry teachers during church. Sydney is in Debi’s AWANA’s class with Nick.
