| Ingredients |
1 lb ground round (95% lean) beef
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, cut into spears
2 tbp parsley, chopped
1 egg, beaten
2 slices of bread, soaked in water and water squeezed out
salt and pepper
1 can tomato sauce (16 oz)

| Instructions |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In bowl, combine egg, beef, parsley, onion, green pepper, salt, pepper, and bread. (best way is to mix with your hands)
Form into round loaf and place into 8x8 glass pan.
Take garlic spears and stab them into loaf, spacing them evenly.
Cook for 1 hour (uncovered). After the hour at 350 degrees, drain grease on bottom of pan.
Pour tomato sauce over loaf evenly. Put back into oven for an additional 1/2 hour.
