| Ingredients |
1 cup butter
2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
2 tbsp butter
2 1/3 cup pecans

| Instructions |
large (6-8 qts) kettle, combine 1st 4 ingredients (if using candy thermometer, set in place)
cook over high heat for 5 minutes or to 210 stirring frequently
Cook stirring continuously until a little mixture in cold water form a soft boil (about 5 minutes or 230)
Remove from heat; cool 1 to 2 minutes
with spoon, beat until thick and creamy; drop on wax paper by tsp
