Nick moved into a new class. His new teacher is Ms Candy. She has all the kids under control. She says freeze and all of them stop. He likes his new class and has already made new friends.

Nick loved all his Christmas presents. If the first one was a toy, it was all over. He didn’t care about the rest of them.
Adoption and Quilt

Big Brother – Little Sister
In early 2006, we made the decision to adopt a little girl from China. Debi decided to make a quilt for our new daughter and Nick, 100 Good Wish quilt. We have asked family and friends to contribute a piece of fabric to the quilt along with a good wish, poems, or special note. Nick is so excited about having a baby sister that he has already named her. If you can get him to tell you her name, you are welcome to know her name.

Tampa, FL Trip
We went to Tampa, FL for an Adoption Conference. We have to take 10 hours of parenting classes for the adoption. We decided to go to the conference to get 8 credits and make a vacation out of it. MeeMaw and Grandma went with us to watch Nick while we attended the conference one day. We got to go shopping and Busch Gardens. Everyone enjoyed the trip.
Happy Halloween
Nick was a doctor this year. We aren’t sure if he wanted to be a doctor because his pedi’s son is in his new daycare class or what. He went on his first trick-or-treat and loved it. We only went to a few houses in the neighborhood we knew but he enjoyed it anyways.
Nick’s 3rd Birthday Party
Nick had his 3rd birthday party with his family and friends at Pump It Up on Saturday, October 27th. He had a baseball party. When we got to the place Nick put his hand on the top of the cake box so the cake already has an ouch before anyone got to see it. Nick made a wish when blowing out his candles. He had a blast with his family and friends.
Nick’s new daycare
Nick started a new daycare after a major incident at his old one. So far he seems to be adjusting well. Ms Suzette stays on top of things and keeps him in line.
Road Trip
We went on our first road trip with some friends. A friend of Chuck’s was getting married in Kansas. We decided to drive there with some friends. It was fun. Nick enjoyed the trip but got sick on the last day there. He is feeling much better now but we ended up having to get a new carseat. The other was so messed up it wasn’t worth cleaning.
Heart Walk & Fishing Tournament
Nick and Debi did the Heart Walk in downtown Dallas. Nick got to be pushed in the stroller while Debi pushed it. Chuck went on a fishing tournament with his dad. The weather was nice for both events.
