As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country ~ Proverbs 25:25

4 snow days in a row and more

Nick’s school had 4 snow days in a row this week. WOW! We never had snow days growing up and to have 4 days in a row is unheard of. We had ice for the first 2 days and the next 2 days were snow. We got about 6 inches of snow and more was falling on Friday morning. Chuck didn’t have any snow days and went into work each day driving slow.

On Saturday, we didn’t get any more snow but there was plenty on the ground. Last night, we ventured out of hibernation to go to church.

Today, there is still some snow on the ground but not much. The sun out helps get it all melted. We are planning to go to a local Chinese New Year celebration. Nick wanted to know if it will be like other Chinese New Year celebrations we have been to in the past. Debi had to explain to him this was going to be different. There will most likely be no firecrackers and no dancing dragons. This will be our first Chinese New Year celebration with other adoptive parents and we are excited about going and connecting to more adoptive families in the area.
