As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country ~ Proverbs 25:25

Nick’s surgery

Nick has his tonsils and adenoids removed. He did very well. ENT said his adenoids were almost blocking his nasal airways and his tonsils were swollen to the point they were almost touching in the back of his throat. ugh! No wonder he wasn’t able to get enough air to sleep. He had to stay int he recovery room for some time after the surgery and sleep. They monitored him while he was sleeping to make sure he was good to go home which was about 2 hours. Meanwhile, there were kids coming out of surgery and going home and he was sleeping. The kids were whinning, crying, or screaming while he was sleeping. Occasionally, he would wake up and ask us to tell them to stop so he can sleep. It was cute but sad cause the others were in pain and all Nick wanted to do was sleep. The nurse said this was unusual that a child would just laydown and be calm after surgery. We told her that was normal for Nick. He didn’t cry, scream, or whine about anything other than complain about the others making too much noise while he was sleeping.
